    Leave it to a cottonwood tree to come up with some unusual growth patterns. It’s doubtful anyone knows what made this particular tree grow up in this odd way. Started a few feet above the ground, then turned almost horizontal, and then turn back upward. The camera was aimed parallel with the ground, which is evident by looking at the dark colored tree in the background. A wide angle lens was used to include the lower trunk a few feet above the ground and the overhead upper branches.
