Description
Toonie has a single purpose: TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY. The happiest color in the world set against a clear blue New Mexico sky delivers an undeniable positive vibe. That’s it. Pure happiness. The idea originated from a comment made by a CPA who stated the need for “happy art” in the conference room during tax season.
The Toonie image started out as a simple, hand-held photograph. There were also a dozen or more other sunflowers in the planter, ranging from 3 to 7 feet tall, with blooms in yellow, red, orange and in various combinations of these colors. Toonie was a healthy mid-summer bloom in the midst of young buds and old retired remnants. A Topaz Labs filter was applied to the image to add intensity to the petals and a swirl to the darker details in the core of the blooms.
