Flying Home is an abstract illustration for wall art. The original image was a macro photograph of a seed pod that was a bit more than 1/4 inch in diameter. 12 images were blended with focus stacking to maintain sharpness from front to back in the image. The blended images were then manipulated with Photoshop and legacy Topaz Labs software to create the final image. The color theme and dynamic range is well suited for canvas prints. Semi-gloss canvas with a walnut, espresso or oak frame would work very well in a desert or rattan environment.

Flying Home is an abstract illustration for wall art. The original image was a macro photograph of a seed pod that was a bit more than 1/4 inch in diameter. 12 images were blended with focus stacking to maintain sharpness from front to back in the image. The blended images were then manipulated with Photoshop and legacy Topaz Labs software to create the final image. In essence, it’s an image that appears to be flying overhead. It’s also easy to imagine that this is a mother flying together with her children in a close formation. There is a feeling of movement in the image created by the streamlined “wings” of the characters. The color theme and dynamic range is well suited for canvas prints. Semi-gloss canvas with a walnut, espresso or oak frame would work very well in a desert or rattan environment.
